306 Gains A New Buddy

The future, a decidedly nebulous creature, is certainly impossible to predict. So, imagine 306′s pleasant surprise when the future bestowed upon our humble abode a new friend, one Julianna Hagood, from Oklahoma. And, let’s be honest: the night was this close (read: ” ” <– that close) to being like, a downer, man; but, as we were leaving a lackluster FHE activity (the details of which might best be surmised as “alien’s with buttcheeks probing rats”), we ran into Julianna (who shall henceforth be nicknamed “Jules,” because it’s exclusive). Interesting aside, there may or may not have been a conversation going on concerning said FHE activity that Jules may or may not have heard (and probably shouldn’t have heard).

Martin was decidedly tristful following the activities because, like, “nobody gets it, man.”

But Jules seems to get it, so that’s good.

Jules, however, does not do karaoke. She isn’t too interested in dancing for her new friends. And she’s kind of shy about being filmed (particularly when playing card games). Nevertheless, Jules is an extremely pleasant addition to 306′s rotating entourage. She’s decidedly down, and, like, savvy, and has excellent taste in plaid button ups, and myriad entertaining wristbands adorning her forearm, and was pretty cool when Martin accidentally knocked her onto the floor while giving her The Tour.

306 Reforms after 28-month Hiatus

Sunday, August 28, 2011, marks the first day in over 28 months that the “original three” of 306 shared a seat next to each other on the couches of the named apartment. The “founding fathers” of the apartment include Martin Michalek of Detroit, MI, Chris Roberts of San Antonio, TX, and Brent Jorgensen of Albuquerque, NM. Currently, Martin and Brent occupy the apartment with newcomers Mike Jurca and Taylor Nickel; however, Chris Roberts knows that he is always welcome…and in desperate times, he may occupy the couch for a night or two. Thank you to all of the great people who made this possible. Expect to see many great things in the near and distant future from this dynamic trio with the recent addition of Mike and Taylor. Stay tuned…

Came home to the apartment to find Andrea and Savanna here. It made the night. They brought us a cake. Then Whitney and her roommate came over to make us dinner. After dinner I went back into my room for about an hour and listened to “In Utero”. Found this on my window:

Earth’s rotation felt proper unstable tonight, so I put on some sad songs and laid down on the floor of my room for three hours staring at the ceiling letting thoughts drift in and out trying not to fall of the face of the earth. Then I put on some chapped stick and tried to focus on the cooling sting on my lips.

Mum says I need to get out more.

Getting lonely. Lying on the floor listening to records. Had some subway while I watched Happy Days. I think this apartment needs a painting of Chris, Me and Brent on the wall. Watching Office with Chris talking about the girl sitch-yoo-way-shun. It’s not so good, Al.

Savanna is my new guitar pupil. Taught her some Buddy Holly lick. Traveling band? Maybe.

Can’t back up the smack

Today yet again Brent was not able to back up his recent smack talk that he will beat me in NCAA or that my trash talking on the blog was the “motivation” his computer animated characters needed to play better. While he did put up a better fight than he normally does, he fell short. The final score 28-21 Chris.

That was a very immature and unprofessional move by Chris. Whitney can attest that when i stopped texting, I was amazing, and in fact mounted the best comeback in NCAA history. But see the things is, so what?!? If you really are that much better than me, that just means you spend WAY too much time playing that game. Bottom line is, I’d win in real football, which is all that really matters. But you just wait Chris, this slip up on the public blog may just be what my computer animated characters need to motivate them to beat you again. It’s a new day, the sun has risen. Watch out.

Talk is Cheap

Lately Brent and myself have been playing a lot of NCAA Football 09. Needless to say Brent sucks at that game. In the 10 games we’ve played against each other he’s lost 9 of them. Most of the time he’s losing so bad by halftime or the 3rd quarter he just quits. He’ll tell you that he loses because he’s busy texting during the game but that’s just a cover up for how crappy he really is.
